Stewardship

As believers, we strive to put God first.

Stewardship is vital to the life of any congregation. God has given each of us unique gifts, abilities, and resources–he’s entrusted them to us, and has given us the freedom to use them for his glory.

Ways to give financially:

1. Tithes and offerings of monetary gifts can be placed in the Offering Plate during worship, and/or;

2. Tithes and offerings of monetary gifts can be mailed to the church office:
     The Presbyterian Church of Pittsburg
     520 N. Pine St., Pittsburg, KS 66762

(3. Online donations and automatic bank withdrawals/transfers may be available in the near future.)

Estimate of Giving:

The Annual Church Budget is created using the “Estimate of Giving Cards.”  These cards are received during our Consecration Sunday in November to plan for the following year, however your estimate of giving can be received and adjusted at any time.

For an Estimate of Giving Card, please contact the church office at 231-2920 or secdeb@sbcglobal.net. Offering Envelopes can also be requested in the church office.

Estimate of Giving Cards are joyfully received from all: members, regular attenders/visitors, friends of the church, from Pittsburg and from afar. Your financial commitment is between you and God.

Gifts for the future:

Estates, securities, personal property, charitable trusts, retirement accounts, life insurance, wills, endowments, annuities, memorials.

For questions regarding donations please call the church office at 620-231-2920, or email secdeb@sbcglobal.net.

Stewardship is about making choices, as individuals and in community. It is more than giving money to the church. Stewardship is about being faithful disciples, caring for and managing all that God has given us.

Stewardship is not just one part of Christian discipleship; it involves every aspect of life in all the stages of life.

Stewardship is the grateful response to God’s grace and goodness. It requires a consideration of how our choices affect us and others, of how we can be good caretakers of the created world, and of how we can best serve God as disciples of Christ.
